Happy New Year! The Ottawa Review starts off 2023 with welcoming back our core reviewers for their insights into five recent works of Canadian fiction. This month’s reviews include new books by Gina Roitman, Emily Urquhart, Cathy Ace, Matthew Hughes and Bianca Marais. If you have made a New Year’s Resolution to read more Canadian fiction and non-fiction, and would be interested in writing a review as a guest reviewer, we would certainly welcome taking a look at it. Just remember reviews must be about books by Canadian authors. And, of course, we don’t accept puff pieces and reserve the right to edit the reviews for clarity and style.
