Welcome to ORB's September 2023 issue

With this issue, the Ottawa Review of Books begins its tenth year of service to Canada's literary community. It has been a ride, with hundreds of reviews and dozens of regular and guest reviewers. True to our mission, we have offered our insights on both established and emerging writers, and have not shied away from looking for the diamond in the rough. In this issue, we explore the work of five Canadian writers: Seán Haldane, Kevin Chong, Cathy Ace, Matthew Hughes and John Delacourt, as well as Guatemalan writer Rodrigo Rey Rosa, translated by Canadian novelist Stephen Henighan. Enjoy this issue and the many more reviews to come in 2023 and 2024.
